East Coast vs West Coast




East Coast
The Notorious B.I.G.- also known as Biggie Smalls was one of the more famous artist from Bad Boy Records on the East Coast. He was once very close to 2pac but their relationship turned sour when Shakur accused him of the plot to rob and shoot him. Accusations turned into rumors when Biggie released the track "Who Shot Ya?" which was taken as a diss track on 2pac.
Puff Daddy- was the CEO of Bad Boy Records and closefriend to The Notorious B.I.G.. During the Coastal feud he was the primary target of 2pac and Suge Knight.
Junior M.A.F.I.A.- Part of The Notorious B.I.G.'s crew which launched the career of todays solo artist Lil' Kim. All members of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. have been the focus of diss tracks by 2pac and the Outlawz.
Mobb Deep- was a rap duo made up of Havoc and Prodigy from the East Coast. 2pac regularly dissed them on tracks and in interviews. Mobb Deep came back at 2pac with diss tracks such as, Drop a Gem on 'em and even appeared in the music video, "L.A. L.A." which was a diss on Snoop Dogg.
Tim Dog Notable for his 'diss track' Fuck Compton which dissed West-Coast rappers Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and a few more Rappers based in Compton but states that he is 'Cool with Ice Cube and cool with Ice T'. But then states that 'N.W.A ain't shit to me'.

West Coast
2pac- The coastal fueds mostly centered around oakland based rapper 2pac. He accused Bad Boy Records and fellow artist The Notorious B.I.G. of setting up to rob and kill 2pac. After this he quickly joined Death Row Records
Outlawz- was 2pac's crew who stood by him on many diss tracks that were directed at the East Coast.
Suge Knight- was the CEO of Death Row Records and held a grudge against CEO of Bad Boy Records's Puff Daddy. Because of this bitterness he swiftly signed 2pac to Death Row Records which would agitate the feud further between the East and West Coast. Some blame him for the death of 2pac in 1996.
Tha Dogg Pound- also known as D.G.P. was a rap group who took part in the Coastal feud in the mid 1990's. Originally made up of rappers Daz Dillinger and Kurupt but also linked up with Snoop Dogg, Soopafly, and Nate Dogg in which then they would call themselves, D.P.G.C. (short for Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips. Their most noted track was a diss on the East Coast titled, New York, New York.
Snoop Dogg- a rapper for Death Row Records on the West Coast and also appeared in the music video by the Dogg Pound, New York, New York.
